What We’re Looking For
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Delivery & Collections Team as Drivers and Driver Assistants. In these roles, you will be responsible for safely collecting and transporting goods - furniture/clothing, etc to multiple locations and shops. It is preferred that you're able to provide your own "drivers mate/assistant". Those with previous Charity and or Retail delivery & Collection experience are highly desirable.
We can provide the van or you can use your own.
Key Responsibilities:
Collection of Donated Goods: Safely drive the van to designated collection points to gather donations, ensuring items are handled with care.
Delivery of Goods: Transport donated items to charity shops, distribution centers, or individuals in need, adhering to delivery schedules.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with donors and recipients, offering a positive representation of the charity.
Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading donated items, ensuring all goods are securely placed in the van and safely delivered to the destination.
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the van is kept clean and in good working condition, conducting basic checks and reporting any mechanical issues.
Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while driving, loading, and unloading, to ensure a safe environment for yourself, passengers, and the public.
